As a child we grow knowing life and death; if we are taught, we learn of life after death. If we are taught to follow our loving Creator than we learn to forgive, and how to love others unconditionally. God wants everyone to find Him, the sooner the better, and if a person is still lost, He will wait and He will always forgive if it comes from the heart. Any relationship needs to be cherished as a growth process takes place, the same is the relationship we share with God. The more time you spend growing in the Lord the stronger the bond between you, and the more personal your walk becomes. If we learn how to build a relationship with our Heavenly Father we learn how to love, how to forgive, how to nurture, and care for those in need.
Where ever you are at in your journey through your life you need to remember one thing: everyone was created a little different and each one of us has something to contribute to another. I might be able to help someone learn more about patience through Scripture, where someone might be able to help my walk by helping me understand more about persecution. God gave us special ablities to help each other in unique ways. The goal is to help each individual to grow spiritually. If a person hasn't made a commitment with the Lord to follow Him, then the Lord will use one who can bring that person to Him so that they might learn to know Him. Getting a person on the right road is only the beginning, the journey ahead is what helps you to grow and mature. Once we have traveled through some difficult areas and trials we learn how to rely on our Heavenly Father to see us through. It is the faith in Him that keeps us strong and mentally healthy. It is the time spent following the One who knows what's best for you that delivers you from yourself. Something I have to remind myself from time to time, which is usually very helpful to my walk, is that God will only give me as much as I can handle.
I'm not trying to tell anyone that their journey will be effortless, overbearing, or short-lived. What I am trying to communicate is that if you put your faith and trust in the Lord and walk the straight and narrow path, then it is what you will learn along the way and what is at the end of your journey that will bring you peace, strength, understanding, and most importantly, how to share the joy of the Lord with others, and how to get through each day with purpose. We are all descendants of Adam and Eve, who chose to sin and because of that we are all born sinful, fallible people. No one is sinless or innocent aside from Jesus Christ. Only God knows when we are no longer a child and become accountable for our sins. At that moment of accountability we are cut off from God. We need to get right with Him, ask forgiveness and grow through His will, continually reminding ourselves that we live in a fallen world where there is pain, suffering, and death. When there is a difficult situation that you can't understand you must accept the fact that this world will be judged one day and that we need to be aware of the affects of sin and the curse. When you experience a trial in your walk it is to strengthen your faith or teach you through His wisdom. We know there are forces trying to destroy our relationship with anything that involves our future with God. Just remember Who will lift you up (the Lord) and who wants to distract you from what is good and what is right (Satan). We all know in the end Who will reign and who will fall. Which side would you rather be on and how can you help others to understand what you have learned? God gave us all the ability to help one another in some way. We all share the burden of sin and the curse, therefore we need to use our God-given abilities to help those in need. What you have to offer could bridge the gap and help an individual take that next step on their spiritual walk.
